You should have seen the Falcons MB before we drafted Matt Ryan. Even the people who hated Vick didn't want him. Since I saw him against my Hokies I knew Matt Ryan had good potential and was not against us drafting him. The future looks bright. We have yet to have back to back winning seasons in our Franchise history
Excited for the signing because I cant wait to see how they are going to be using him and in what packages. I've been trying to figure it out, but I can't. Its going to be interesting to see how he fits as a QB in Andy's system since he has always been pass happy play caller. There has to be more to Kolb's injury then they are letting on, the ball didn't start rolling on this signing until Kolb got injured.
If the Eagles think they can win a super bowl, it seems like a good sign. If McNabb goes down in the playoffs, would you rather have Kolb, Feeley, or Vick? I'd still go with the player 2 years out of the league to win the game. (But then again, maybe they are signing him to be a "Slash". If so, I like that move too.)
This is my gut reaction also. I'm curious how many games it will be before Vick gets on the field, if he does.
I think the Eagles will have some fun mixing him in a little this year, and then if he proves he still has the athleticism and proves that he's mentally ready to be an NFL player again, they flip him to somebody next off season for a high draft pick. He's definitely a tradeable asset if he gets anywhere close to what he once was.
The one upside here is that Vick stands a better chance of having his neck broken in an NFL game than via some random occurrence on the street. Here's hoping.
Look, I'm a UH student and a Coogs fan, but I'm a much, much, much bigger Eagles fan. I want a Super Bowl. When the Kevin Kolb era comes, I'll be wearing my Coogs jersey with Eagles gear when I watch them stomp the Texans (unless I can get up to Philly for a game). The Vick signing is cool, but he's not enough. I still miss Dawkins. That guy was a freaking MONSTER. I have no idea how they'll replace him. Yeah... That's a pretty douchey thing to say. The man screwed up and did his time. One of my brothers is a convicted felon. He served a year and a half. They served their time; they deserve second chances.
Never was a fan of Vick but in all honesty I'm kind of hoping he does well. The guy did something criminal and he didn't get off easy, think he deserves his shot.
Here's an interesting article on Vick from Yahoo Sports. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/sh...Vick-signs-deal-with-Philadelp?urn=nfl,182843 I don't think Vick will be a problem in Philly, remember he wasn't a drama queen like TO on the field and thru the media, he made a mistake and got locked up. He should have no attitude issues with any other players, so he'll be fine.
The thing is Vick probably will not be a problem but the attention he brings may very well cause one.
Can you read? He said most exciting player to watch next to Barry Sanders. You act like he said he is the next Barry Sanders.
You don't wish serious injuries on him or death. That just isn't right. I wish he wasn't in the league, and am glad my team didn't sign him, but I don't want to see the guy hurt. If anything I'd like to see him in prison for longer, but its not my choice. This is a 2nd chance for Michael, and hopefully he is a better person for what has happened. If he does good things now that his prison term is over, then the legal system worked.
