The last minute of Moore-produced footage I will ever watch was him humiliating a mentally disabled Heston. That was disgusting.

There is no comparison for wanting rain during his speech (which the website took down immediately, when they realized others did not see the humor) to that of having a major hurricane hit America (causing severe damage, loss of life and home) - on top of that, I don't imagine you will ever get an apology from NoMoore.

i don't think he was mentally disabled....but it was a very weird thing to do.

ironically, bowling for columbine showed that it's not gun poliferation or laws that result is so much gun violence. He kinda pointed that out with Canada - the whole movie points us to the fact that it's just America is violent because that's American culture.

Why hate me Donny, I am just expressing my opinion that Michael Moore is a fat piece of **** who blows everything out of proportion, if you have a problem with me expressing an opinion maybe you're a fascist.

Michael Moore is a hate-monger who says shocking and idiotic things to feed the enormous ego he's had ever since he got all that attention for Bowling for Columbine.

He's right up there with the Westboro Baptist Chuch in my book.

Either way, your hatred is not surprising.

Not meant to be personal, but...

It's important to note that the entire democratic party doesn't see eye to eye in all things, same with republicans.

It's sad that if one member of a group says something silly, that the entire party is attacked. It's not fair.

Sometimes I wonder if the 2-party system is really all that great. People's mindsets are vastly differing, even among same party members.

    This is true.
Obviously a joke. Obviously ironic if it does hit during the GOP Convention to remind folks of how Bush-Cheney botched the managment of FEMA and the response.

Sicko, Moore's movie on our health care system is good, though I would not expect the original site, which obviously is biased toward insurance middlemen to like the movie.

I am a big defender of Michael Moore. His movies make many good and true points. Using extreme sarcasm and bighting humor has contributing to millions being exposed to those valuable ideas. I'm sorry PBS documentaries watched by next to nobody do not have the same effect. Despite extreme oppositional research the vast majority of his facts have stood up.

I did not like the making fun of the enfeebled Heston. Stooping to tactics which the NRA IMHO would not hesitate to stoop to was a bad mistake.

I saw it when it aired and I didn't get that impression. Neither did I get the impression that he was joking. I thought he was making an inelegant observation about the irony of a hurricane hitting during the RNC... he's just not very eloquent off the cuff. I definitely winced when he said that (as did Mrs. rimrocker), but I don't think there was any malice behind it.

He shouldn't do live TV and should stick to scripts and visuals.

Michael Moore isn't the only one sticking his foot into his mouth with these kinda idiotic comments today:

I like his films, and even though I differ in many of his opinions, I respect them.

    I thought Sicko was superb.......

And Charlton Heston (One of my favorite actors ever) had it coming. Holding a gun rally right after those horrific events makes me sick. Just not cool..

Don't know the name of the girl but Heston was NOT there at a gun rally. He was there at a fundraiser for a political candidate. Guns had nothing to do with it.

Also - that gun at the bank thing? Moore's agents spent months setting up that staged event at the bank. Many, many disingenuous things about that particular movie.

He also left 2 meetings with Roger Smith on the cutting room floor...
