I think it's safe to say that Michael Jordan is going to pick a big as his first player given that he never had a quality big to play with.
lol you know back then all guys were listed barefoot height. The league average is probably about the same as it is now and that is with guys using in shoes exaggerated height. Guys today have an easy 2 inches added to their real height. Someone like Bill Russell was listed at 6'10 in college and in the olympics. But had the NBA list his height as 6'9. Bill Russel would be 6'11 today in modern shoes. Wilt would be like 7'3 today in modern shoes. KAJ probably 7'4. 1955 Sports Illustrated: "Don't call me 6-foot-10, I'm enough of a goon as it is." BTW Olympics always have legit heights. Michael Jordan real height? 6-4.88 Kobe? 6-4.75 LeBron? 6-7.25 (At 18, though he might have grown to be legit 6'8 without shoes by now) Jerry West listed at 6'2 his whole NBA career but really 6-4.125 without shoes. He'd be listed at 6'5 today, and you can see its legit when he stands next to Kobe even though he's old and probably shrunk by now. Oscar Robertson was 6'5 barefoot as a point guard. Bob Petit is a full inch taller than Kevin Love's real height, but yet Kevin Love is listed at 6'10 with shoes. Means Petit would be listed at 6'11 today. Our very own Big E? 6'9.5 That's an easy 7 foot measurement for today. Dave Cowens? 6'8.5. Easy 6'10.
Mutual respect...on Jordan vs Lebron: http://www.cnbc.com/2015/01/15/mich...bron-james-ex-nba-champ-hakeem-olajuwon.html#. “When people start comparing him with Jordan then that’s not a fair comparison. Jordan was a far more superior player in a very tough league, he was very creative,” former Houston Rockets star Hakeem Olajuwon said. “That’s not taking away anything from LeBron because he is a great player but it is not a fair comparison because Jordan is a far superior player.”
