Purely Muscially? I would say Prince. The total package? Michael by a mile. He had the "it" factor (seamless integration of dance and music, and sheer stage presence) to lift his star power across race, gender, and nations. It was funny he was known as the King of Dance-Pop in East and Southeast Asia (China, Japan and Korean, Thailand, Indonesia, etc.). But then most of world population barely know English.
