You are right, he doesn't do this normally, but he has done it, remember the Oprah interview, when he said he had a skin disease.

Or his interview with Lisa Marie during the Rockets second trip to the finals.

I admit I flipped back and forth between the Finals and the Barbara Walters interview with the Odd Couple.

IMO, Bashir abused his friendship with Jackson. Jackson talked candidly with Bashir. Bashir used footage to further his career by bashing Jackson. Jackson is obviously a sick person and needs help. Screw Bashir. If he had anything to say to Jackson he should have said it in person.

Yeah after watching that I just felt bad for Jackson. I mean Im not this huge fan of his music, but think about it. The guy never had a childhood. His whole life has been under the microscope. I remeber him saying that he could never live a normal life because eveyone knows him, judges him, and acts diffrently around him. I think that may be why he enjoys the company of children. They probably do less of this than anyone. He probably apreciates that the dont have this concept of "who" he is.

Although, he should not be sleeping in the same room with children, just because of what happened in the past. He is opening himself up to trouble.

I was not impressed with the interviewer, he seemed very judgmental and harsh to jacksons case. I loved the part where, they say. "Jackson talks about his 'alleged' abuse from his father" Last time I heard all the children called him abusive. I think its beyond alleged.

What I don't understand is what was going through the mom's mind when they would sleep together. It would seem like she would sit up at some point and realize something wrong was going on.

Anyone ever read Catcher in the Rye?

Michael Jackson wants to be the Catcher in the Rye.

You guys are forgetting one important source of income for MJ.

He owns the rights to either all or most of the Beatles catalog! I read somewhere (and this was a while ago) that he had made like $10 million in the US alone on the release of The Beatles '1' CD.

If he ever needs money all he has to do is sell the rights to one of the Beatles songs to a company for a commercial.

That would actually be a funny commercial. Have Michael Jackson try to buy something by writing a check. When they check his ID, it looks like him circa 1979, which looks nothing like him now.

oh, that's right... I'd forgotten about that. I guess we're all subsidizing this guy's lifestyle one way or another. :(

This seems to indicate some business skill... he used his $$ while he had it to buy something that would pay off for a long time.

This asswipe shouldn't of interviewed Michael Jackson. He doesn't know how to get the hard-hitting details. I wanted to know more about the circus clown and how he treats his kids. The b*stard.

Whenever the Bulls played in the Finals, there were never any interruptions. Whenever the Rockets played, we have two screwed up lunatics who cut in during the broadcast so we have to hear their damn story. They need to lock OJ and MJ in a loony bin and keep those freaks off the street!

We will see how much of an ass Mr. Bashir is this Thursday night when Fox airs the Michael Jackson Documentary with footage he cut out. The teaser showed Mr. Bashir praising Jackson's parenting.

One of the news outlets (CNN, MSNBC, FOX) also reported that when Jackson has his "sleepovers" there are actually security guards both inside and outside the room.

Bashir "accidentally" forgot to mention that as well!

I haven't read the entire thread, so if I am repeating someone else, my apology, but I actually do believe it not unlikely that MJis as 'innocent' as he maintains...by that I mean that he isn't sexual with these kids, merely affectionate. I am not supporting his ability to have access to children with that in mind, and if I were a parent I would probably not want him near my children, but that would just be under the 'better safe than sorry' heading that parents should take, IMO.

I think he may be a severely emotionally retarted individual who never really had a childhood, and spends most of his 'adult' life trying in vain to recapture what he thinks it should have been like...being the primary bread-winner from age 4 on might have that affect. I feel for the man as a human, and I hope he finds happiness if I'm right...

Probably an unpopular stance, but there it is...

I can't believe that I watched this. Blobbing out after the channel 13 news, when it came on. Was fascinating. I don't know anything about pedpophilia, but he has an unnatural fixation on children as shown in the documentary. It is really sick in a way that he keeps having these surogates give him children.

I feel sorry for him and in a childish way he seems like a nice guy, but I feel that a grand jury should reopen the old pedophile charge. I don't feel it is in society's interest to allow parents to drop such a charge when their kid was the alleged victim for $15,000,000.
