He was really dumb, and got caught when the 49ers opened the season so well.

Lose-lose situation, and now he has to win over his teammates - I doubt too many are going to have much respect for him.

Still, he should get playing time in short order - their WR depth is less than shallow.

I dropped him at the start of the season. Wonder if he's still available.

His teamates won't care, they know it is a business....and as long as he can catch the ball and make the team better, they will move on....

Keep him off. He's only getting back to the 49ers because he sees how good they are and wants to be a part of it, but the reality is that they're good without him. It will take him weeks, if not months, to learn the system/playbook/NFL, etc., and by then it will be too late. Look my post up when by December he still hasn't hit 100 yards in one game.

I'm sure his teammates will care if the attitude that resulted in him attempting to shirk the entire unofficial rookie scaling system is applied to other parts of the game as well...and I suspect it will. I've read that his "posse" is a big reason teams were skeptical about drafting him and at least partly why he dropped. Posses can piss off teammates as well.

AGREE. even Singletary knows it's a business. he said last week if he's here, then he's here. if he's not. he's not. we can only try to win the guy's we have.

now that we got him, hopefully mike can put him in a position to where he can succeed....

    LETS GO NINERS!!!!!!!!!!!

agreed. however, they might be bothered by his alleged "diva" attitude. if he drops that, he should be fine

They will knock that right out of him in practice, then reach down and give him a hand up....

I'm just curious how much money he got. As a player I really liked at UT, I hope he didn't screw himself over with this charade.

He is going to step into this rotation of wide outs very quickly.

Most teams don't do any heavy hitting in practice once the season starts. That's what training camp is for.

Did he go to any of the pre-camp "voluntary" stuff where he might have learned some of the offense?

apparently he brought MC Hammer into the negotiations with him.

He is not going to be well liked in that locker room, he's a prima donna rookie

As a Tech student I am glad he has finally signed people around campus really got tired of his diva like attitude. I was starting to think he would be more like Mike Williams and Carlos Rogers. If Crabtree can play to his potential the 49ers will have a very solid season this year, they have a great defense, and a top 5 running back. Mike Singletery is probably the most underrated head coach in the NFL right now. As for the 49ers accepting I don't think it will be a problem unless he becomes a total bust. Vernon Davis always got the wrap of being a diva but Singletery has turned him to a pretty solid TE. Only time will tell how Crabtree will effect this team.
