Lol beasley just seems like now he wouldn't wouldn't put up with that **** in the playoffs this year. Just saying Beas looks the like he's the hungriest and most focused on the team
Man Morey really gave the Rockets a great chance to sign Durant Soley on the Beasly signing, add the fact that the rockets can add one more max free agent and you have almost an offer you can't refuse if you're Durant. Harden/Beasly/Durant/ max fa(Horford, Conley, Barnes) is throw a max at Barnes just to get him away from the Warriors of Durant signed lol.
rox were in the WCF last year because of harden not inspite of him.. and beasley stepping up now most likely because he's more mature and getting some sort of guidance/confidence from harden not the other way around
Do you also want to tank and miss the playoffs to get a #12 pick? If so, not that there are very few top FAs who have switched teams to one who missed the playoffs (not counting the LALs and NYKs who are always a FA contender). Top FAs don't want part of rebuilding...and they don't care about #12 picks. They want to see what Beasley and Harden can do in the playoffs.,,,their resolve to fight...even against horrible odds
Smoove is not the scorer that B-Easy is now (or what he used to be) but his value is in his ball handling/passing, switch defense, rim protection, spacing and rebounding. I hope he is able to find his way back into the rotation. We need his intangibles as much as his tangibles in the post season.
I don't know the contract/history of Beasley, but how was he in China while the Rockets signed Ty Lawson?
Still can't get over what a pick up Beasley has been. If there was suggestion on this board that Beasley was being looked at prior to picking him up, majority of posters here would've said NO WAY. Now we're talking about him as a cornerstone along with Harden. I just can't believe (given his performances) that no one else was considering him. Glad he's getting it together given his earlier years. And he's still only 27. What is his contract status?

His reputation has been pretty **** and he's always been known as a guy that had all the potential, ability, and could put up stats but could not contribute in a meaningful way to winning games + rumors of his being a bad locker room guy / maturity issues.
I was thinking about this a few days ago. Smooth's isn't getting any PT right now but we'll need him & his intangibles come playoff time. Rebounds, blocks & ball handling from the PF position is what we'll need. I feel more comfortable with Smith in the rotation than now
Beasley played great defense last night in addition to his scoring. I'm starting to believe. Hope we can rebuild our roster this summer and keep him as a potential sixth man of the year.
