I hope he gets the help he needs, but the article says:
Do any of you recall any success stories among guys who worked with John Lucas? Maybe it's just the memory on my mind of Eddie Griffin's tragic end despite John Lucas working with him pretty hard.

Lucas coached me a bit back in the early 90's in some camps. I strongly remember the smell of whisky on his breathe at about 8am.

I'm sure it's confidential but it says he has worked with euro and nbdl players not only cope with drugs and alcohol (as he did) but to fine tune their game.

Turns out Beasley is every bit the head-case some people said he was, and more. I was willing to cut him some slack until now.

Hope he gets it together and is successful.

Most people thought he was just a jokester and immature, turns out he has some real mental problems.

On the radio they said he told his boys that he was going to take his life and for everyone to have a good life. Actually someone told me they heard this on the radio, don't know if it's true.

Remember when there was a debate between Beasley and Rose? That seems like a long time ago.

Getting some real Eddie Griffin parallels here, hopefully the guy can avoid the same pitfalls

Is that Kevin Love whom the 'Supercool Beas' (seriously? And that *bleep* is permanent, yo...) is chatting it up with on the playground? Looks like he's 14...

I read something recently about a guy that said Lucas made all the difference in the world for him.

FYI he just checked himself into a rehab place here in Houston for substance and psychological issues. Interesting.

Well, Beasley did actually play decently so I wouldn't call him Eddie.

This dude's clearly depressed and mentally unstable. I'm sure some of his problems can be attributed to drug abuse.

It almost looks like cocaine-induced paranoia... "The world is against me."

This is the result of a kid in his early 20's getting his hands on millions of dollars. I'm sure he smokes mar1juana on a regular basis, but it wouldn't surprise me if he developed a liking for the nose candy.

It's a damn shame. Best of luck to him.
