LOL! I thought the same thing. And, no, "forboden" is not a word (according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary). A new low.
Then why does he say, "You understand the meaning of the word forboden?" (notice he said "word", not "words") (or were you just kiddin' ?)
I just presumed that Farrell is attempting to say "foreboding" - but dropped the "g" due to his brogue accent.
i was hesitant about another remake of a campy 80s TV show but then I saw that michael mann is directing this. He hasn't dissapointed yet so who knows.
Michael Mann putting his name on it makes it worth seeing. I don't think that he would do a movie if it was going to be crappy...but then again who knows these days.
It's not being set in the 80's? I'm sorry, but if there is no white sport coat/pink shirt combos, then it's just not Miami Vice...
Whenever I see or hear the name Jamie Foxx I cant help but laugh because all I think about is him dressed up as Wanda from In Living Color and saying.."I'm ret to go" and "I'm gon' rock yo world." with all that makeup and lipstick on.. I think he should have stayed in comedy
Perhaps... ver·bo·ten (vər-bōt'n, fĕr-) pronunciation adj. Forbidden; prohibited. [German, past participle of verbieten, to forbid, from Middle High German, from Old High German farbiotan.] edit: BTW. slowest downloaded trailer EVER. Better be f*ckin fantastic.
For you lazy bastards... Open it with IE. http://s55.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=03IBTZRNW9CIN2LYV01G003LYA
why is this movie called miami vice?? they have to set it up in the 80ies, otherwise it´s just another bad movie not worth watching, but the trailer is nice, i have to admit... btw what´s next on hollywood to do list??? make a movie out of the a-team, macgyver and street hawk? i guess collin farrell would look good as tempelton peck, angus or jesse mach. why don´t they do any more action flicks like die hard or lethal weapon, these movies were good...
I really enjoyed Miami Vice during it's time in the 80's. It's funny to look back on it now, but at the time it was a pretty cool cop show. Great music, great guest stars, guns and shoot outs! As far as the movie. All I need to know is that MICHAEL MANN is directing. I mean look at Heat and Collateral! Mann knows how to direct a nice stylistic crime drama and I am looking forward to the Miami Vice movie. I am sure it will be similar to Heat/Collateral. I think Farrell and Fox are great choices for the Crockett/Tubbs roles. They look the part and are decent actors. I only wish Mann favorite, Dennis Farina, was cast as Castillo. That would have been great.
i'm excited about Miami Vice only cuz i wanna hear "in the air tonight" with the movie. they better not ruin it with a cover or remix. p.s. that scene in the pilot was the best ever out of any t.v. show.
