    Yes.

And I agreed and/or reinforced his points, all the while implying it did affect game 5...

    Did you read it all?

Are you the "read between the lines" police? Or....?? What was your point in calling me out?

    For what purpose?

Seriously. What was that about? I was agreeing with the assertion, and posting my opinion that it is also "spot on" in game 5.

Mark Cuban is about objective when it comes to the Mavs and officiating as Wanda Webb Holloway was when it came to her daughter and a cheerleading competition.

I tend to believe that he didn't say this.

However, he probably did say something.

Not that I'm trying to defend the Mavs or anything, but is there a rule that says beat writers HAVE TO use every hackneyed symbol for various cities in the US?

I must've rolled my eyes at least 100 times reading the "grassy knoll" references. If this guy had been writing about Houston, we'd have probably seen "Houston, you have a problem" at the beginning of every paragraph.

    In any case...screw the Mavs.

i can actually cay see why there would be such a disparity. Wade relentlessly attacks the basket. it would only make sense that he'd draw more fouls. and alot of these fouls are on shot attempts. on the other hand, there was no complaining on the Mavs part when Dirk himself broke the playoff FT record. we're talking about Dirk Nowitski here. a 7 foot fade away jump shooter.

You don't hack-a-Shaq unless you're already in the penalty - it makes no sense if he's not going to shoot free throws as a result of your foul. They did do it once in overtime, realized it made no sense, and stopped.

Yea... I remember seeing that and thinking "WTF are they doing?!?," further adding evidence that Avery Johnson wasn't on his a-game with coaching/communicating his intentions to his players that game.

actually they did it twice (w/o being in the penalty) and only stopped because Riley pulled O'Neal from the game
