Bosh may never play in an NBA game again for the rest of his life. He has a serious medical condition that could kill him if he tries to play. Looking back on things right now, the Rockets should be very thankful that Bosh and Melo refused to play here. It was the best thing that happened for our team. Dude still can't get over this, though.....
That's an interesting suggestion. He is 4M expiring this year so you could move KJ for him. Johnson's versatility playing multiple front court positions would be helpful to cover for injuries or foul trouble. Could be good in MDA's system. He has character issues and you wonder about upsetting chemistry, but if the team felt comfortable, why not.
In 2014-2015 we were in the Western Conference finals, only 5 points away from stealing games 1 and 2 on the road. In those games, Smith, Brewer, and Jones all played 20-25 minutes. They shot a combined 23-64 or 36%. and a combined -34 for those games. Having Carmelo Anthony in that game could have very well meant a trip to the finals.
Whiteside or Dragic would be nice, not sure if Dragic is a good enough fit or if Whiteside is a big enough upgrade over Capela for the assets it would require to trade for either player though. Winslow can't shoot at all and has high trade value, not a good fit for us. TJ would be nice if weren't for his contract. Maybe Josh Richardson? If they'd give him up for a 1st.
Like others have said i think Winlsow is not on the trade block since they're going to rebuild, same for J-Rich, theyre young with potential and cheap contracts...no reason for Riley to trade them. TJ would be great here imo, i kinda see him as a younger and more athletic Llull, and tbh, the last year of his contract will not be that bad in two years with the cap going up. Not sure about Whiteside, a part of me thinks he could be a beast with Harden, a part of me is scared about trading for him for your same reason.
