    Thts only partially true b/c planes regularly fly routes that are not the shortest distance from point A to point B. But of course, if you are flying over the Atlantic when you are heading from Chicago to Minnesota, you have problems...

    Not really. When I was flying back from LA over the summer (to Houston), we flew over water, and went as far west as San Clemente Island before turning around. I feel asleep once we did.

    Unusual situation, I was watching the whole thing unfold at around 2 PM... it was pretty unusual for a hijacking to go down that way, where they just surrendered, but I guess they didn't have much of a choice if they had no weapons.

    No one likes those Bolivians. The City I'm from, Santa Cruz is anti Indian.

    They're the ones putting stones in the roads, and keeping the gov from tapping the HUGE natural gas reserves. :eek:
