    To play devil's advocate, why would they want to bring down a billion-dollar industry?

    Are the people benefiting as a whole? Sure some corrupt officials are, but its not as if these cartels are paying taxes on billion dollars.

    Forget where I read it, but some speculate that some of the bosses of these cartels might be richer then Gates, etc.

    lmao. You know how difficult that is when corrupted politicians are involved?

    I would say to the u.s ..pretend that these cartels are muslim and go after them, all of them. If they were able to get escobar, these other guys should be a walk around the cake or a piece of park.
