People are overblowing his level of hotheadedness. Look at how well he kept in line in LA. Aside from that one underwear incident he was the same here. I feel like even with Dwight, Harden, Parsons, Lin et al, we're going to need somebody with his kind of passion when playoff time comes. It's like the Ray Lewis effect. Not everybody on your team can be quiet like Andre Johnson. He still has the physicality to be able to defend Lebron one on one. He isn't quick anymore but he's still a great piece to have in a grind it out series. He instantly becomes our enforcer too. Remember when he stood up for Yao?
He was good for the Rockets back in 08-09 but he just doesn't fit in now with this current team, plus he's no where near the same player he used to be. He's to slow to be a defensive stopper and I don't want to relive his shot selections.
Honestly Ron arrest would be a great back up. My only issue is him causing locker room problems cause lets admit he's crazy as ****. I love his intensity and toughness he's the type of player that would take up for his teammates. He's got great toughness and gritty D. He would be a nice
empty seats at staples when the lakers are playing wont sit well with the owner although that is what i would do if im the GM of the lakers. im sure mitch is on the hot seat
Ron would pretty much exclusively be a 4 now, I agree. But he could defend the bigger stronger SF's too when needed. At the vet min, I would take him on.
This was the year we were going to win it all. We took the Lakers to 7 games. Nobody else did that and they won the title that year. If we had healthy Yao and McGrady to go along with Artest, Shane, Deke, Brooks...that was it.
I really think he wants to be back. His last 8 or 9 tweets have been about how good the rockets will be this season. He could be a great force off the bench, hit some cold-blooded threes, and maybe stir up some fights here and there to make the season more interesting.

I watched a lot of Lakers games last year, he's not the player he was. I'd rather have Garcia as our first swingman coming off the bench. And hopefully Cesspi becomes good off the bench too.
