pretty sure it was the owner who wanted him traded from the rockets after one year. something about being late for the bus to the arena and running onto the second bus with all the team officials while only in his underwear... i dont think morey or les want him back.
I would LOVE to have him back. Let him play the PF spot when we play Miami. Would be a fantastic pickup.
We only get Ron if we get Jermaine O'neil and Stephen Jackson all at Vet minimum. Those will be our enforcers. Detroit won't be a problem.
I would welcome a hard presence on a soft team. First time around the team was anything but soft, excluding Stacy McGrady.
You guys probably arn't gonna believe me, but heres my story on metta. Im a 17 year old kid thats live in LA (I'm still a die hard rockets fan, dont doubt me). Anyways I went to school with Metta's daughter sade, for two years and I sat next to her in one of my classes. Anyways she said behind Indiana, Houston was ron's favorite place to be. So we have a little boost over others places if he does indeed get amnestied.
Ron Ron helped propel our city into our first playoff series win in a long time...and that was 4 years ago...While i'd love to have Ron back, I just dont know if the Rockets see him here like an elder statesman(similar to a Mutombo??). We do have one more roster spot...we shall see.
