The Wizard's my favorite player in Houston sports since the Dream, and yet I'd sadly be ok with trading him if it nets us some top tier prospects. As much fun it is watching him, man he's a joy to watch, I'd feel better if he were pitching for a contender while we're reaping the benefit of some much needed youth (hopefully).
Its not thinking like a homer. If you want the ace of the staff, then I want your top pitching prospect in return. The Astros don't need an outfielder, we have quite a few in the minors and will probably get one in the upcoming draft and first basemen are a dime a dozen. I think its funny you think you cn throw B-level prospects and expect to get a pitcher of Roy O's quality. You're right Kiker, Bleavan and Moreland would be top five in the Astros' farm system, but thats not saying much considering where our farm system currently sits. I'm fully content to hold to Roy for the best deal and IMO what you proposed isn't the best deal.
