yeah, i meant to say badass i like it, i yet have had the time to listen to the whole album track by track but those 2 stand out so far.
that was just your life, and all nightmare long are my 2 favorites so far. very very solid album overall. "but you luck runs ouTa"
Giving it a third spin right now and I have to say, it's growing on me quick. The Day That Never Comes would be perfect if James didn't have that "this I swear"-he-must-have-run-out-of-lyrics moment around the 4:44 mark. About the only song that hasn't piqued my interest yet is Suicide & Redemption.
I saw the view from your seat on seats3d.com...nice! But the big question is are they gonna play the 360 center stage view or the 270 end stage view?I've never seen Metallica at the Toyota, only the Summit. They played on the 360 center stage at the show they had at the Summit back in '97.
Downloaded thinking it would give me a good laugh, but wow. This album is pretty freaking awesome. Love The Unforgiven III, Cyanide & Suicide & Redemption.
I got 3 tix to the show through the AMEX pre-sale offer. Section 105 and I also got 3 free Death Magnetic cd's and 3 free downloads of the concerts thats gonna be recorded here in Houston.
Having listened to the full album many times through now, I can unequivocably say that this album kicks 10 kinds of ass and I love it. As others have mentioned, about the only song that doesn't really resonate with me is the instrumental, Suicide and Redemption. All others rock my kasbah.
Ticketbastard doesn't even have the Houston show listed. Anyone know if they are coming to Dallas during that Houston show stretch? I know they were just here last month for Ozz Fest so I doubt it.
Death Magnetic #1 http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/ch...-14-2008-metallica-and-the-hard-rock-pantheon
i try to make a point to not download albums of bands i really do enjoy and go out and buy the album the day it comes out so i can enjoy music the way I did when I was younger. I was given this cd last friday as a birthday gift and listened through it through and through and aboslutely love it. The unforgiven 3 is one of my favorites, and like most others suicide is probably my least favorite the cd is in my car now and been ripped to my ipod and has been on loop since last friday. i want to see them when they come out to LA in december they are doing 3 shows i just dont know if i will be in town at the time ugh!
the new music video. all nightmare long. chilling. awesome. http://metallica.com/index.asp?item=601688
Weird video, but I like it. Metallica has a history of doing different types of things for their videos, some more succesful than others. Much better than the typical MTV type **** that gets trotted out there 90% of the time.
