I haven't posted in a while, but I thought this was worth sharing... So, my wife and I were at the 24 Hour Fitness near our house where I typically shoot around on the court to warm up. Low and behold, Robert Horry walks in with his son/nephew and starts shooting on the goal next to me. He was there to coach his son/nephew on jump-shot basics. When he took a break, I went up to him and asked him how the coaching thing was going, and we got to talking. I mentioned something about getting better lateral quickness, and he even showed me a drill on how to improve on that. After it was all said and done, he took a picture with my wife and 'chucked a deuce' at me as I left the court (I think he even gave my wife a wink as he left the gym). All and all, a pretty cool day at the gym when you can get some basketball tips from a guy that's been part of seven (7) championship teams <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Cr-KjT0_U6M" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
god he's put on a couple pounds. then again, everyone thinks they're in shape until they run a full court game.
Yup, Every time I see him, the first thing I see is his stomach. Dudes eating very well. He needs to put on all his rings so he can use them as weights when he walks around.
Have met Horry a few times here in SA. Overall a really cool dude. Loves the late night club scene. Really approachable. Glad you had a good experience.
