Guns are tools to protect your family, goods, and yourself. Fun is subjective, but yeah I personally think it's fun if you're shooting a gun that you're comfortable with. If you're a first time gun owner I'd definitely rent out guns, there's a gun range called "Top gun" that lets you rent guns by the hour so you're able to switch out guns as many times within that hour. And the difference between having your own gun and renting one should be a bit obvious. I'll let you figure that one out by yourself.
