    :eek: If I may suggest, dear sir: PLEASE CLEAN YOUR LENS next time.

    White clothes and bright lights always come out "diffused" and "soft focused" when a lens isn't clean. It's a rookie mistake and can be overlooked most of the time. I always get people's cameras and clean the lens for them 'cuz they've taken "soft focused" photos the entire time... but it's really 'cuz the lens is dirty. I don't know why people always have dirty lenses on their cameras, if most hand-held or point-and-shoot cameras are always hiding the lens after they turn off.
