    Ok, I don't blame you.

I have never seen old legends like George Best, Puskas, Eusebio, Garrincha, etc.

Messi happens to play in a top 2 league, and clubs like RM's squad is probably better than any international team. In terms of achievements I think everyone can agree Messi hasn't achieved as much, but what about their individual abilities/play? What part of Messi's game do you think is so inferior that they can't even be compared.

No, I never said that. I said they fold in the World cup. I used Germany and England as examples because they are physically strong teams, other teams that have given World powers trouble because of their strength are Ivory Coast and Colombia. My argument has never been that Spain is not better team than any of their European opposition, it's will they beat bigger teams and will they bring their A game for once in the World Cup.

    I say no.

Ahh good times. What's crazy about Alex is that he never seems to lose that ability to score when his team needs him. Another thing, he isn't very tall for the things he's done throughout his career. It's crazy when you look at his stature, he kind of reminds me of Dwyane Wade, not as big for his position but has the amazing skill to weave through the opposing players. Don't even get me started on his free throw kicking, god. If Lippi doesn't call him up for the WC I will be livid.

Remember Signori? What's size of his shoes? I thought his scoring ability was amazing.
And Zola. You wonder what Maradona did to him? Just being w/ the god himself made him a good player.

Nothing. The dude is overly nostalgic and talking out of his ass. The excuses he comes up with for putting down a 22 year old genius are borderline illiterate.

As my friends in the hood would say...

Messi is just 22 years old and already the best player the world has seen since Ronaldo's golden years with Barca. I think that you would soon have to start comparing Messi with the true greats like Maradona. Maradona could have achieved more if he stayed away from drugs. I doubt that Messi will have the same off-the-field problems in his career.

Well there's no doubt he's the best player in the world. Amazing.

First goal was most impressive. The kid has amazing explosiveness, strong legs, quick explosion without much adjustment, knife through two closing defenders in just split second, very very difficult to do.
2nd goal, the first touch was a beauty, a joy to watch.
3rd goal, nice last second chip, smart play, but did anyone notice he kept his head down while dribbling.
4th goal, should have passed, selfish pays off though, a little luck, nice last shot through the legs of goalie, he aimed it.

The Arsenal defense was non existent. What kind of defense was that, kick right back to Messi in two of the 4 goals.
