Do I think Jordan is better than D.Wade or Melo?

    No, I don't think that.

Do you think your mama is female, no you don't think that.

    Why?

You take fact as fact, you don't think, you don't inject your opinion into fact.

Finally Ronaldo is better than Maradona?

And I know there are a million Ranaldos are out there. They seem to pop up once every week somewhere in a league. I don't care which one you refer to.
Maradona >>>> Ranaldos dead or alive

Until Messi can lead Argentina to be a World Champion or at least in the Final, then people can make comparisons.

And ronaldo is no better than Maradona thats for sure, the only brazilian better than Maradona is Pelé.

It's like a teammate of Babe Ruth saying Babe Ruth is better than Barry Bonds despite Barry Bonds not being born yet.

You sound like a hormonal 15 year old. I can already tell there's no point conversing with you, but keep in mind Messi is only 22 years old and has already shown consistent displays of greatness.

Maradona had his breakout World Cup when he was 26.

Simple question have you watched Maradona play? Have you?
If you have, you wouldn't say something idiotic like that, or unless you live in Brazil rooting for Barca.

    Downright disrespectful.

    Watch the 1986 World Cup.

Maradona lifted a World Cup and none of his teammates would disaree that he was responsible for it.

Maradonna lifted Napoli, a small time Italian club, to the height of European football. None of his teammates would disagree that he was responsible for it.

Messi has not achieved anything alone. He is in the same boat as Cristiano Ronaldo. Great non-national achievements with the best team in the league.

Barcelona without Messi and Napoli without Maradona.

Argentina without Maradona in 1986 and Argentina without Messi at any time.

IMO Messi is currently the best player in the world, but he is not better than Maradonna (not yet at least). Maradona is SO good that despite his tarnished history, he is still considered a legend.

I do admit though that he is on pace to become the greatest in history. It's far from certain though. He must lift a World Cup. He has two chances at that.

    Yes? Yes I have?

Now it's time to upgrade your simple question to a tougher one.

The pressure is mounting. Can you perform? Can you?

S.C.C Napoli struggled even to stay in the Serie A before Maradona joined. The 2nd year Maradona joined the team, it finished the 3rd and won it all in the 3rd year.
Yeah, wikipedia might tell you Maradona won it for Argentina when he was 86.
He establish himself way earlier than that. He is the brightest star at the Japan youth world cup when he 19 or something like that. One of the youngest player played for Argentina after the 78 great team. If you don't think Maradona was about to take over the world in his early 20s if not for his injury and ban ridden time at Barca, you just don't know jack shiat about soccer and you are too young to comment.

Out of Argentina's 14 goals, Maradona scored 5 and created 5 en route to lifting the trophy and the best player of the tournament and one goal short of top scorer.

If you're going to talk about youth tournaments then you have to give Messi credit for his performance in the 2005 U20 world cup. That was his coming out party so to speak and he dominated the tournament. The only game Argentina didn't win was their first game against the US, and that was only because Messi only played the second half. And Argentina's problems qualifying for this year's World Cup has more to do with their coach than any of the players.

Regardless, it's too early (and mostly pointless since it's all subjective) to make any comparisons about which is better.

Too early to tell. Let's compare when Messi is done. But he is on track to be one of the all-time greats...I have seen him play in person and he is pretty amazing.

I've been watching Messi play for years with Barca now I'll say this

He's the second best player to EVER come from Argentina. He's not far behind.

I say he needs a World Cup. If he wins one He's > Maradona.

Messi is my favorite player. After Rohnaldino burned out he's still a beast.

    Més que un club

Wow. I can't believe someone compared Ronaldo to Maradona, to even have mentioned them in the same breath. Ronaldo does one thing, he is a striker. He does not create well for others and he definitely does not set up many goals. Maradona was THE player that everyone marked consistantly and everyone kept an eye on him. He gets spacing because everyone's afraid to fully commit to him.

Moreso, anyone saw Ronaldo on the last world cup? He constantly came into games out of shape and all he does is hover around the defenders to get a step. He could not play on-the-ball defense and his Brazilian teammates gave him every opportunity to score. Everyone else set him up as to what Maradona does to others.

Just to quote from another site, here are some of the notable stats for Maradona:

    This is gathered from Wikipedia.
