Of course, and that's what Morey is trying to figure out. No one is disputing that.

Blame CD, not JVG. JVG was just the coach. He might have made some suggestions during his time but I doubt he had the pull to match an offer or not.

Good post. Posey never sucked, just a good role player off the bench. As long as he isn't a starter teams can do a lot worst than J-Po off the bench. He shut Kobe down the last 17 minutes before the half we he got in the game Kobe had like 3 technical shots and field goals while Posey was in the game, also J-Po ripped him once and not intimitated by Kobe.

Message to Rockets, let's just sign every free agent out there and worry about how we will pay them or fit them into the salary cap later.

James Posey is being way overrated. The truth is, he can't create his own shot, he's a strict jumpshooter, and he is starting the downside of his career. Before the Finals, he was an one-dimensional player and I remember all the cheapshots he used to do on defense, Bruce Bowen-esque.

It's true that Posey did have a great Finals. But you gotta consider the possible driving force behind his performance. He wants to get paid big in free agency. Thats the magic of money. Just remember the last guy the Rockets signed after having an all-star type performance in the playoffs: Bonzi Wells. He certainly didn't become the player we wanted. Posey may be fool's gold.

Also we already have a James Posey. His name is Shane Battier.

In truth I would consider going for Sasha. He had a bad finals and is really irritating, but he had a good year and playoffs until then and is 24. I hope someone makes a run at him, at worst to inflate his Laker salary (if they match).

James Posey has 2 rings. Both teams probably don't earn rings without him. His worth on a good team has been proven. But he will be 32 early next year. And he isn't a creater nor a with the ball player. Nor is he the player Shane is in this role for the Rockets. I have little doubt if Shane got the looks Posey had versus the Heat/Celts he would get winner accolades too.

Pass, we already have Battier. All we need is for Battier to be backup to a better starter.

I liked Posey when we had him a few years back.....don't think we should have traded him. NOW, his stock is high and he's probably gonna get more money from someone other than the Rox....and I don't want to overpay him anyway. Leave that for someone else. I mentioned Sasha a few weeks back and caught all hell for it. He's a player I definitely love to hate, but he could be a decent fit for us. He hustles, and can hit the long ball. Just don't expect him and Rafer to be having drinks after practice. Anyone care to comment on how much $$$ Sasha can realistically command for next year?

Knowing what we know now, would you still trade Gay for Battier?

Uhm I think we should just aim at getting that Rush kid. The more I watch video Clips of the kid the more I am in awe and would love to see him play the two and move Mcgrady back to the three. I can see those two building such great chemistry together it is redonkulous.
