This is the type of nonsense I expect out of the Discovery Channel, not Animal Planet.

Animal Planet.... the same network behind Finding Bigfoot.

We watched this today at my in-laws. I hadn't seen this thread, but I think everyone got annoyed at how I kept blasting everything they showed because they thought it was real. Particularly, I kept talking about the "cell video". Every time they showed it, I would be like, "I have a phone that was the top of the line less than a year ago, and when I zoom in, there'd be no way it would keep it's quality. Much less, a phone from 5 years ago wouldn't do that. My phone couldn't take a video like that zoomed in, so how would a video from five years ago, which could barely take a less than blurry static picture, be able to take video like that?"

And then I kept going on and on. I think nobody thought the "documentary" was credible by the end.

    You guys are gullible.

Also the type of nonsense I'd expect out of the Discovery Channel. Looks like short of River Monsters, avoiding AP is the right decision.

Caught a part of the show tonight:

There was a giant shark floating about so one member of the shoal (shoal?) of mermaids separated itself from the group and cut itself with a spear to lure the shark away from the rest.
