Whiney Mercilus has played 85 snaps and has zero tackles in the last two games. I think everyone knows not to run to his side because he's a beast.

That's probably the most charitable interpretation of a player making absolutely no impact on the game I've ever seen.

You have to play the young players more than 20 or 30% of the snaps. The vets have played like 4th preseason game replacement players. There is no excuse to having them play the way they've been playing. I saw a clip of the couple of times Jacob was on the field, they had him press coverage on one of Chi's only good receivers. I want Blacklock, Greenard, Martin and Charles getting all the snaps alsoJohn reid with his "neck injury". These coaches made a decision even before the season began that rookies were not going to be worthwhile this year and it's been one of the many huge mistakes.

Obrien should never work in the NFL again.

At this point, his name is the only thing left about him that's any good. Totally overhyped player who got a baffling contract extension, and has under-delivered basically on a weekly basis.

It’s something used on ‘The Bench’ every morning since he went about three games without a stat

Guys, be fair to OP. Opponents have been running away from the Texans defense all season.

With his cap hit this is doubtful, especially with the cap going down. They are stuck with him for one more year.

$15M in dead money if we cut him. Simply incredible how much BoB screwed us.

Can't cut him next year because the dead money is too high but he and Nick Martin need to be massively restructured

Mercilus 2021 salary is already fully guaranteed. He has no incentive to restructure unless it’s out of goodness of his heart/team in which I’d tell the team to pound sand.

Martin on the other hand should be cut outright.
