    Exactly.

I will giev EG a 5-year contract at league minimum level, but insist team option at every single year.;) Of course, he needs to pass some physical requirement first.

Better than getting nothing staying at home, right? I can live with 4-year, as long as there is team option every single year.;)

I understand your point, but if he plays well the first yr or maybe the second yr coming back. He's gonna get a nice lil contract. His agent wont let that happen. It is a business remember not just for griffin but also for his agent to earn that commission.

And we should pay him the league min for committing a flagrant foul every game to knock some sense into the heads of Kobe, Nash, Paker, AI, etc. :D

He needs to find a chance to prove he can come back. After what he is done, he has to pay some price for another chance: committing cheap labor for a few years.

He was injured most of time while he is in Toronto. Also, they do not need big guy in the east as much as in the west.

Sorry, I think that is just your excuse. If Bateer is a heck of backup C even in NBA as you claimed, his CNT coach should trust him enough like you do and he should at least have had 7-8 mins playing time so starter could finish strong in the end. No, the CNT coach didn't even give him one min, not even in second QT when CNT led by 10+ pts.

Bateer probably is the second best big man in CNT. But it doesn't automatically qualify him to be Yao's backup in Houston Rockets. That is totally different. How bad CNT got beat by Dallas summer league team when Yao sat out? I mean Dallas summer league team! And scored 13pts, even all against Pavel, by no means can be called dominate performance.

What was your question? It is irrelavant. I don't think the Rox should have him, plain and simple.

Did he already have depression in high school and college when he beat his teammates up? Remember he burned the bridge when he signed up with the Nets by badmouthing the Rox.

I am actually wondering why you don't hear anything about him in this hectic off-season, maybe all teams are staying away from him.

That is my point, but IF he plays well in yr 1 or 2 after coming back, I guarantee you some NBA teams are gonna throw him a multiyear contract ALOOOOOT more than the mininum.

see? people have heard of this guy, which means his agent will eventually land him a 4-5 million dollar a year deal.

bateer can be had for cheaper.

He could have had depression.........me and you wont know......Charles Barkley and even Hakeem got in fights in practice throughout the yrs (not with each other). He did not burn the bridge, he talked well about the Rockets Organization during the Mark Berman interview about a month ago. Would you rather play wit J. Kidd, who known to make his teammates betta or Steve Francis who does not know how to run a fast break. Look at the interest he drew when the Rockets waived him. But he just needed to get his life together.

Bateer is no comparison to Yao and this is the truth. He might not be even as good as Ostertag (at least the defensive end). However, he is the one of the best servicable big man at a low low price. I don't buy my toilet paper from Gucci; I will get it from Walmart.

You play your Ace card as long as you can in the final game, no matter what. In that game, Yao could play 48 minutes so he did. Yao played less than 20 minutes a game before the final and CNT blew away almost every opponent by 50pts.

Bateer was the second best big man in CNT-Mavs matchs. When Yao sat out, he was the best big man, not only on CNT, but on the court.

CNT got beat because of their guards. Bateer also made Pavel score 0 pts in his third showing.

Hi, people never heard of me also! And if all Rox want is a big man who own min salary(760K) and sit on the bench drinking gatorade, why not me? :D

hahaha i like you toliet paper quote, but i would rather have Osterfat. He much better defensively and prolly deck a couple of guys coming into the lane and will protect YAO. Prolly make him tougher in practice.
