Bateer will play a bit more in Toronto and he can even prove that he is better than Antonio Davis.

I would not compare Bateer with Cato, because it's not fair to either player. You don't compare somebody who never had the chance to play to somebody else. I can say however that very few of you (myself included) ever saw him play, which means you assume Cato's better. Let me spell that again... ASS - U - ME. What I do know is that he tends to foul (which is not good) and I think he has a better offensive game (cuz Cato had none) and I think he's underrated (because none of you ever saw him play). With Yao playing more minutes (@ least, hopefully), how much do you want to pay for a back up center? Let me rephrase that: who would you rather have, Cato or Bateer and James Posey @ MCE.

Thanks MFW, I'm glad somebody understands my point of view. Its all about the money. Cato is way overpaid, but I would still like to keep Cato as the backup. Having a dominant or strong front line is key to winning games. I would personally continue to pay his salary if he performs as he did last year. With Bateer, he can back up if something happens to either yao or cato and can play power forward when needed.
