I love Kevin Martin, but if we had a chance to trade him for Oj, i would.

But i am really happy we have Martin, hopefully he can stay happy

More like their sense of fear that Zach Randolph's hoops family will rape them in the team shower or that Memphis ownership will destroy their career and violate their human rights.

Saying that potential players need to ditch this sense of entitlement and play for Memphis is like saying women need to lose this sense of entitlement and start banging Joran Van Der Sloot.

It's only a draft workout? You know, the one where kids just goes through drills?

I understand the premise that working out for a team that has a shady owner and an inept GM might make you want to think twice but do these kids really think that, by refusing the work out in Memphis, that the Grizzlies would avoid them? If so, I'd like for them to talk to:

Memphis Grizzlies, where our motto is, if you don't want to come to Tennessee, we'll still draft your ass!

Somebody has to get drafted by Memphis, refusing workouts may not help you avoid the fate, but it doesn't hurt to try.

I don't know about you or anyone else but I'm going to laugh if/when Hayward's stock comes back down to earth and the Grizzlies drafts the kid.

These players can go to hell. It's a privilege to play in the NBA. Let's see how their asses react to 12 hour bus rides in the D-League.

Don't know what's so funny. Like I said, somebody has to get drafted by Memphis so it's not any more amusing that Hayward ends up there than Paul George or Xavier Henry or Luck Babbit ends up there. I don't think any of the draftees mind enough as to, say, go play in Italy or Greece if they get drafted by Memphis, but to the extent they have some influence, however minimal, they might as well do what they can.

The NBA rigged the process to vest all the power in the teams, the players and agents are just trying to do what little they can to land in a decent spot.

Or they can make a decent salary playing in, say, Spain?

Players have done way more than just refusing to work out for a team.

Its not about wins. These guys are rookies and lottery picks, I don't think they'll take it too hard if they end up in a losing team. Its just the Memphis isn't committed to winning, and no matter how good they look now, watch out when their lottery picks are up for extensions (starting with Gay this year). Going to Memphis is like wasting away your first 3 years.

Will he even play next season? We don't know yet. His career could be potentially over.

Just an article by a reporter trying to get hits:

    Hayward has a promise.

George's agent doesn't think he can get PT.

Udoh personally called the Grizz to say he had two call backs from teams in the top 10 and didn't know if he could reschedule.

Elliot Williams has a blown knee or promise and isn't working out for anyone.

Since the writer knows all this, it is just a BS article.

I don't like it. . but I am sure you have turned down a job before
This is no different. If you can . . .you do. You make the best decision for you.

I think this is crap. Crap orgs can never get better if they cannot attract the talent.

No, Jerry West, who was the GM at the time for the Grizzlies, gave away Pau Gasol to the Lakers for reasons we only can speculate on. He has nothing to do with the franchise now.

I give the Grizzlies alot of credit for putting the current team in place without the support of fans and the media. They are one or two players away from being a playoff team. thats if Randolf can stay out of jail.

Hopefully the Grizz will be sold and moved. Problem solved.
