Oh well...Memphis will have to wait until 2008 to extend their playoff losing streak to 16 games...

Actually, if you do the math it comes to 0.7 (0.66) points for every extra minute on the floor.

I meant 1.5 points for every extra minute he is on the floor, meaning minutes that exceeds Pau's MPG, which is 6.

    Do the math: 4 more pts / 6 more mins = 0.7 pts/min, not 1.5. Yao would need 9 pts in 6 min to get 1.5 pts/min.

    oh crap, my bad.

anyways, what I meant to say is Gasol does not beat Yao and Nowitski by wide margin. Yao averages .78 points per minute, and Gasol averages .803; .02 is not a wide margin.

    mmm...yup

Seriously, Gasol isn't a mouth-breather either. I don't have a problem with Gasol. I do have a problem when people suggest that someone in the NBA is more of a degenerate than Dirk.

I've had that feeling since we traded him.

Sorry, I need some further clarification. Do you mean you had the feeling since we traded FOR him, which is a year ago? or you had the feeling since we TRADE him, which is a month ago...

    What a confusing world...

We've been through the worst, of course we may know what they feel like, but I won't feel sorry. Because we got screwed last season and got no sympathy.

[IMG] Wow, this scares me for Yao Ming and V-Span, Battier or any of our Rockets getting hurt in FIBA.

My only problem with Gasol is his sasquatchness[IMG]

your damned right we got no sympathy--not from other teams, not from sports writers, commentators, no one. Teams would roll in and beat the Rockets without Tmac and Yao and then celebrate like they won a championship.......fawk all of them.......I want revenge.

The one on the upper left hand corner is Pau Gasol. The one next to him is a caricature of him and the one on the bottom is an artist's depiction of the modern mytholigical figure, sasquatch, placed in a spoof of J.M Flagg's poster of soldier recruitment for WWI, which was a take off of a British poster, "Lord Kitchener Wants You" created in 1914.

Great news for Memphis fans. They are obviously sick of being stuck in mediocrity and shouldn't be aiming for the playoffs this season. Anything that gets you closer to a top 5 pick in this year's draft is good news.
