lol. it wouldn't be rockets trade season without johnathon feigen arrogantly dismissing internet driven fan speculation. not that there is anything to this particular rumor (i personally doubt there is), but you can almost sense the frustration and insecurity in that piece coming from an industry that hasn't broken a significant scoop in over a decade.
My point is I expect Tmac to play close to his best this season, and the Rockets are unlikely to get any offers that would value Tmac like that... The team did get to 2nd round without him but with Tmac at his best there, the team would have even been better. Choosing between Tmac at close to peak level vs Rubio just starting out, Tmac would give a better chance this year.
I agree that we are better with a healthy t-mac, but last year we didn't have any t-mac and we did pretty well, so losing him can't possibly "set us back" Having him can help us, but losing him can't set us back.
agreed totally. losing Tmac is not gonna help us, but having him is a plus. We are the only team that took the Lakers to 7 games. Imagin if Yao was still playing in game 7. we would be the new champion by now.
What guarantees you that T-Mac's going to be able to play this season and if he's able to play when we will he get hurt again? I'll take a healthy T-Mac any day of the week over anything else in the league, but Im no longer willing to gamble the season on him being healthy anymore. If the rockets can improve the team using his expiring contract, then Im all for it.
