mu suggestion is : Don't invest too much for the current team. No PG can play well for the standing offense that Rockets have.
do you mean he cant run or jump well because he's got trouble seeing? "Jun 5 F/C Amar'e Stoudemire can see clearly now", that's from yahoo sports...im not sure how else an eye would affect running and jumping physically , maybe his balance would be off...
Amare has said he'd like to play in Washington. I don't have a link, but you could probably Google it. Again, it's another rumor, but honestly, the Wizards have a bloated payroll. It might be a one year rental, but hey, at least they'll clear up some cap space. Or, they sign Amare long term, and when healthy, he's one of the elite big men in the game no question. The problem with the Wiz in keeping the #5 pick, is what position do they target? They're heavily invested at the point with GA. Butler is on board. Jamison mans the PF spot. Etan Thomas, Haywood and the guy they drafted last year McGee man the C spots. Jamison would thrive in that system since he can space the floor and hit the 3. His game is suited for that style of play. The real key is getting the #5 pick, to pair along with #14, they can get pieces for the future, since that's an old team with Hill, Shaq, Nash, even JRich. Again, it's all rumors, but if you think about the trade deadline, and names like Camby, BDiddy, Amare, and now you have Bosh saying he won't resign, it could be a hectic draft night. Problem is, the biggest chip the Rockets have to use is TMac. Not really an appealing chip because of his injury history.
im not sure, i guess it's like 8 mins less...but i meant he didnt play as many minutes because he hasn't been "ricky rubio the star" all 4 years, he was brought up like rookies are...so he wasn't playing top minutes and finishing games all 4 years. He also has been playing pro for 4 yrs, but only 3 in euroleague (at least one was as a back up), the first year was in the smaller Spanish league.
i hate that question, i'm frustrated about not winning yet like anyone else, but isn't obvious we're not winning due to injuries?
anyone know if Rubio's buyout will affect the team that drafts him? as of right now i think it's Rubio who has to pay it, but could he somehow put an NBA team in a situation where they have to pay it or some of it?
I blame a lot of it on Tracy, not because he got injured this year and for some reason decided to call it quits in the middle of the season. But because he was never the leader we needed him to be. We needed him to stand up and say enough is enough, its ship time, and make the right plays to win games. Not the plays that gained him stats. Because of him not stepping up like everyone expected him to do it stunted Yao's growth as the true leader of this team. As much as I hate the lack of Shane's offensive game I love the heart and leadership he brings. Tracy new that it really was time this year and decided not to be in shape and push himself to be back at 100%. So I blame him.
i think similar to Scola's case where the team can front load a contract to help "pay" for the buyout costs.
yeah, but all the leadership in the world won't take you to a ring, you still need the players on paper to actually play. Yao still missed the playoffs entirely last year and came up short again this year. deke also went down. Tmac's gone down now and in the past. These are very important pieces and as much as we all went to believe we can get it done with one of those two only, we probably can't. You need consistency to win, we don't have that from season to season, or even within a season.
So, let's say that Rubio fell to #5. Would you trade Brooks, Landry, Cook, and Barry's contract for Antwan and their #5 to get Rubio? What if Rubio were gone and you could still do the same deal for Antwan and the #5 and take Curry with the #5 pick?
This is how the rosters could look after a trade. Rockets would need to include a third team or a follow up trade to balance their roster. NBA minimum roster is 13 players. Conley, Wilks(FA), 27th pick Mayo, Ross(FA), 36th pick McGrady, Warrick(FA) Gay, Arthur Gasol, Haddadi, Dorsey Brooks, Lowry, 2nd pick Artest(FA), Wafer(FA), Buckner Battier, Barry, Jaric, White(non-guaranteed) Scola, Landry, Cook Yao, Hayes
