Do you guys think he would fit to our system? He more looks like a guard thats fitted for up tempo offense run n gun style...
yes, but harden just seems like a great fit, and a much needed wing scorer. i'm interested to know you're opinion. if a trade is made for the #2 and rubio is the pick, which one of our young PG's gets replaced?
I think Rubio would eventually start, either Brooks or lowry works as backup. I would prefer Brooks because of his speed and shot making abilities but either is ok with me. DD
It seems to make more sense to me if Boston is interested in Harden to replace Ray Allen rather than Rubio. I can also see the possibility of Boston and Houston scheming together to get what they want out of this draft at by making 2 separate deals with 2 separate lottery teams in order for the Rox to get Rubio and the Celts to land Harden. If Morey has any incentive to deal with and help an Eastern Conference team, it is Boston.
although i dont completely agree with this, since a pg perfect for a run and gun style would be one that can pass and shoot well (nash, stephen curry who D'anotni wants now), i'm surprised no one else has really mentioned he may not fit well here. I'm not sure he will or won't, but i dont think he's the type of pg some fans have been crying for and hoping would replace brooks "the shooting guard"....
Steps to follow: -Trade for the #2 pick. -Trade the #2 pick for the #4 Kings pick + Martin/Hawes/Thompson (they desperately need Rubio) -Draft Harden/Thabeet with the #4
Why do I feel as if this was a smokescreen. Morey is trying to ripoff the Wizards right now while trying to make the league think that we want Rubio/Harden/Thabeet. I think Morey would understand that the asset required to acquire a #2 pick is quite high, espicially considering the potential bust ability of an prospect.
Radio in DC is saying possible Amare for Jamison + #5. That's better than any deal the Rockets can come up with. And if that's the case, they could even make a play for #2
that's what i believe would happen if Morey got his hands on the #2...it makes more sense than drafting someone ourselves....a teenage point just doesn't match up with our core in age/prime years.....a shot blocker is needed, but we could get another one by trading down AND also get another talent. but i think this specific trade is more than the kings would give up, we'd probably have to include one of our players and the #2 for their #4 and preferably thompson or Hawes. We could also just go right back and deal that #4 to another team, pick up another established player and a late lottery pick....that would be some very nice value, basically: - give up someone like landry, fillers - get a hawes or thompson, solid perimeter player, late lottery pick, fillers i dont do salary cap so if anyone who's knowledgeable in that area wants to give an example of a trade, please do so
what station? My assumption is that it's completely unsubstantiated.. And you think the Suns would take on 33 year old Antawn with 3 more years on his deal? Don't know that it'd do it.. would be great for the Wiz
I think if we would get a high pick, Morey would make a bunch of trades involving picks where we trade down to get talent. Maybe a bunch isnt needed.
I doubt we would get a high pick just for the fact that we are way over the salary cap and high pick results in high paying contract. Something we have no room for.
