I didn't register for a while (December 99), can't remember if I registered for the old board. I started visiting the site around '97-'98 though when I did a Lycos search for Barkley. Stayed on the main page for a little while, then read the BBS, then decided to start commenting, thus beginning the boards downward spiral.

I don't remember, that was 6+ years ago. I'm lucky if I can remember yesterday. The last time somebody had a thread about changing names, I didn't remember that you used to be named after Detlef Schrempf.

Same story here....been around for ages and ages(around 97) and never bothered registering till I had to...thus really beginning the board's downward spiral in quality posts.

I actually had a different moniker when it was in the early registration phase, but i forgot the password and had to re-register!

 

i was a lurker for quite a while but then registered around the yao ming boom.

dont remeber if i registered because i had to or because i just had to respond to a dumb comment or something.

 

Man, I may be making this up and I don't rmember if it was against us or not, but I specifically remember Detlef Schrempf hitting an absolute BOMB in a game for the win from basically under the other basket. Did that happen or am I making up stories again? Would have been the early '90's or there about. I would have been like 6.

Read this site since my move to Cali, 96. I think my first thread after lurking was a poll of whether we should tank the remaining games and get the number 1. The Rockets didn't lose too poorly and still won Yao Ming.

 

This thread has the potential to be the longest on the bbs. If only it could be put on the rocket forum.
