I don’t think Anderson sucked as much as he gets crap for. If I recall, he got injured and then never seem to get back after Tucker took his starting spot for good
Ryan Anderson did not suck for 1.5 years worst than Melo. In 2017 Ryno was an important part of a very good 55 win team that had two separate double digit win streaks. In the first third of the 2018 season he also played well and was even somewhat decent at times on defense. The problem was he was overpaid... Melo on the hand was awful... notice how good the defense and offense is now that Melo is gone???
I think it's been mentioned and discussed a few times in the past, but buried in a few of the mega-threads. Maybe the truth will eventually be leaked, but for right now it's all just speculation.
Every player has injuries. The only injury that lingered was a confidence. However, MDA allowed him to continue to play
If that article is accurate, especially in terms of Bzdelik's quotes and coaching style, it's pretty obvious why he isn't a head coach anymore. When you're coaching other professionals and both of you are making comparable paychecks, you're basically co-workers. You can't keep hammering on a co-worker and expect them to be obedient every single time. You have to get guys to buy in willingly, which is why Pringles has had such a long and successful career. The only real exception I can think of is Pops, but the spur's cult-like culture just subdues any free-spirit without mercy I can also see the possibility for lingering animosity that Melo may have towards such an a-hole coach, but it's tough to say, wasn't he was interested in coming to Houston way before Bzdelik retired?
I believe it is true though. Even if it seems to be made up. A couple of insiders said that Jeff did have a personal matter. And I’m sure he didn’t want all the drama Melo was bringing. So he left before everything started and he could focus on his family instead.
Plus D'Antoni has a past with Melo as we all know Man - Melo and D12 - no rings and passive aggressive drama queens
Stop blaming others. If Melo wasn't a net negative for the Rockets they would not be cutting him and they would be happy to maintain his minutes. Morey would not allow MDA/Bzdlik to do this if it were not better for the team.
Lol. So Ryno was allowed to brick & get burned on D for a whole year? We didn't bench him after 10 games?
