yeah i won't be surprised at all at this point, with the way this offseason is going. Great thread to revisit later
In Melo's defense (god I can't even believe I said that), he shot: 37.5% from 3 in Catch and Shoot situations 41.9% from 3 when he's wide open (closest defender 6+ feet away) *shrug*
I’ve never advocated running the offense through Melo for extended stretches. There’s a big difference between doing that and running offense through him for a few possessions a game. I just Melo believe can be productive as a Rocket because D’Antoni is a much better offensive coach than Donovan, and Melo respects CP3.
I never have been a big Melo fan but his ability to score would have been real handy when we were going 0-27. Just saying...
If melo was on our team last year we would’ve had a ring when Cp3 went down. Just saying, cuz rockets were bricking all by themselves. Clutch the bear could’ve been more help at that point.
Melo is going to be horrible here. He's not going to catch and shoot. He'll mostly post up. It'll be like watching Dwight his final season here
Then I stand corrected that Melo can’t be successful as a catch and shoot three point shooter. Which gives even more credence to the idea he could thrive in the Rockets offense. Heaven forbid that I’m wrong about something. I’ll try harder to be perfect next time.
Guys just accept it, kuz is a priority and Ingram is also so there no fit there and he won’t come off the bench. His best fit is here, fortunately he stops bricking
