It’s just weird to me that people are convinced he’ll stay in his lane when he literally said he doesn’t want to be a role player
He might be a risk but its a risk worth taking. Going to Houston isn't a risk like OKC because Harden and Cp3 already respect and like Carmelo on a personal and basketball level.
There’s your starting SF. Not sure is already discussed- Can OKC stretch Ryan Anderson if used in a trade for Carmelo? Seems like they would benefit to receive something and stretch Ryan in lieu of getting nothing for stretching Carmelo
its a risk and at this point as i posted earlier i see why hou is probably going to take it bc theres very limited options at this point. a forced hand but i get it. however that doesn't make all these negative questions about him any better nor do they go away
Why do you people think the incomparable Carmelo Anthony would take a minimum deal. He's too great a player to even come off the bench, you expect him to make the league minimum. Perception and status is everything for him.
Love it! Carmelo's a bigger, stronger version of Eric Gordon. A player who is gonna be more valuable in a lesser role. His skill set is perfect for the team. Let him ISO all day here. All we need is a solid 15pts a game on 35-37% 3pt shooting. Melo can get that in his sleep
Melo might be better than Ryno... They both suck at defense. They can both kinda rebound, altho Melo goes out of his way to do it by cursing. One is super passive and will not cause any locker room problems, the other is vocal and has known to cause locker room problems. One will take every shot even if it's terrible, the other hesitates after losing confidence. Considering our best FA we signed this off-season is MCW, it wouldn't hurt to pick up Melo imo.
