I wonder why Melo haven't gotten fine for tempering because he's demanding a trade through his agent. Chris Paul did the same exact thing and he got fined.

if he does not land in Houston, i'd like to see him go to Chicago and beat the Heat
The Bulls with Melo would be a so damn balanced and talented team in every position

    Anywhere but the Knicks.

But I don't see how the Knicks get him unless CarDiva refuses to sign an extension with anyone else.

I guarantee you if Melo gets traded to Houston, he will sign that extension.

Yeah I'm pretty much over it. I was on the fence, then open to it, Now I just don't care that much about him. As long as he's not a knick, doesn't matter I guess. I actually wouldn't mind him being a Bull if it meant knocking off Miami in the playoffs.

Wow. Instead of just being the Jazz+Bulls, "Julls", they'd be theJazz+Bulls+Nuggets, or "the Julleggets".

i can see us being a facilitator if the knicks end up being involved. Since denver wants picks maybe rockets throw in the knicks picks and an expiring contract and get billups or involve portland to get rudy (although i dont really want him)

We have to remember that these are his preferred destinations, but not necessarily Denver's. Both parties would have to commit to a compromise in order to select a team that both would benefit from, which is why I'm not counting out the Rockets yet. If we do get him, let's hope he signs that extension with us.

With or without Melo, I'm still confident of what our team can do.

The Rockets can offer a better deal than most other teams, there is little doubt about that.......the trade really depends on what Denver is looking for and which teams Carmelo is really willing to go to for the long haul.

The nuggets won;t be able to trade him to any team they like as no team will be willing to give up the assets they want if they don't have a shot to resign the guy. Carmelo is already leaving a talented team to go play where he wants, so thats a big red flag for teams that might risk giving up some good assets for him.

As we saw from last season the nuggets have very little leverage. They trade him where he wants to go or risk losing him for nothing.

Posturing by everyone still... Denver leaks news they are considering Kings and Wolves (i.e. Siberia Gulag) and Melo's camp counters by leaking that they prefer Bulls and Knicks (i.e. teams with no trade assets).

Off topic, but when does Erick Dampier's contract become non-guaranteed?

Yahoo is strange, they have reported Melo likes almost every location.

This sounds like they are playing cities off each other.

if by depth u mean bench rotation players, then yeah, if you mean everyone, I think you got a bit of fan blindness.

Yeah you would destroy them by bench depth in this hypothetical scenario:

    Team A starting 5 < Team B starting 5

    Team A bench > Team B bench

Of course, Team A will DESTROY Team B. That's how basketball works, remember?! When our scrubs are better than your scrubs, but your best players are better than our best players. We KILL YOU! :p
