LeBron's the most narcissistic player in the league.

Kobe's also self-centered, but he has the hardware to back up his ego (just as people put up with Jordan's arrogance because he has a handful of rings and he's considered the GOAT).

    D. Wade strikes me as the most down-to-earth of the 3 superstars, but that's probably because ESPN's not constantly blowing smoke up his ass.

Melo's an elite scorer, but he lacks the leadership qualities, competitive fire, and defensive prowess of the other 3. But, after saying that, maybe he'll prove me wrong this season.

Melo has been in the NBA 6 years and hasn't shown any leadership ability. He just isn't programmed that way. His competitive fire also clearly doesn't match the big 3.

Melo is a great scorer but not a great overall player such as Kobe, LBJ, or Wade. He doesn't necessarily make his teammates better or create for others like the other 3(or even McGrady) and is not the on-court leader the other 3 superstars are.

Plus he is nowhere as tough mentally as the above (even McGrady). If he has a shooting funk early in the game, he rarely ever digs out of it, and can't seem to do anything else.

You Speaketh the truth my brother. I'm just laughing at all these cats on here posting about the various players' personalities as if they can analyze it perfectly from watching them on tv and various interviews.

Well from what we know Melo's appeared in a "don't snitch" video made by gangs and other shady characters, and he's been caught by police with drugs in his car.

He may be the most real of the 4 (LBJ, Wade and KB), but being real doesn't always mean you have the best character.

He undoubtedly the smoothest and most versatile scorer of the four, but he's also the one who probably coasts the most.

My personal opinion is that LBJ is probably the most likable one, followed probably by Wade. LBJ has the biggest ego, but judging from his relationship with his teammates he's also pretty easy going and doesn't take everything seriously.

You are right. The thing with melo is his mentality. That is why i have so much more respect for Chauncy (spelling?). I think he really led the denver team last year. Although he have always been the court general in detroit, but he was playing with some world class players in hamilton, prince and the two wallaces. The denver team on the other hand were a lot more raw and did not play like a team until he showed up. I really feel he is underrated as a point guard. People always say how paul and nash are the greatest point guards in the nba, but last year in the playoffs, chauncy really showed up as he did during his piston days. Only down side to him is his contract i guess.

I don't think he has the best attitude either. Yes Kobe has a similar attitude but he can knock 40 down on you with ease and then go lock you down at the other end. I have always thought of Melo as me first kinda guy, certainly can be in the top few players in the league with some improvements to his attitude and some bits of his game.

Kobe: Forced himself sexually on a woman; Proven to be all about himself = Narcissistic Jerk.

Wade: Divorced his high school sweetheart wife(who he married in college) and now, according to the wife, seldom sees his children who are 7, and 2 years old. I think that makes him a narcissistic jerk.

LeBron: his image is almost as expertly crafted as MJ's

And this is all stuff that anyone who follows the NBA would know.

To be honest i don't think melo has to turn into another player by developing playmaking skills or w.e. The only exception is he should be able to lift his defence.

However his offensive arsenal is just crazy, ever since he developed the jump shot in his second season his been pretty much unstopable. I think if Denver acquires another post presence they have a real chance at winning the whole thing. If only they didn't give away Camby for peanuts.

Getting rid of Camby for peanuts was one of the best moves the team ever made.

Kobe and Melo have totally different mentalities. Kobe is a nasty, in-your-face, take-no-prisoners kind of guy. He isn't out there to have a good time, he's on the floor to beat you both on the scoreboard and in your mind. If you get physical or nasty with him, it makes him mad. Melo is more of a carefree guy who wants to enjoy himself. If you push him out of his comfort zone, he often has a very hard time finding it again. Melo smiles all the time, good and bad; Kobe does not smile when things go badly.

Kobe's defense is exaggerated. That isn't what separates him from Melo.

Nuggets4, I didn't really see it at the time, but dumping Camby for nothing was a genius move by the Nugs.

    1. the charges were dropped werent they? also who proved he is a narcissistic jerk, im not saying he isnt, but its kind of a guess not knowing the guy to just state it as a fact.

    2. well maybe he is a a****** but again, he could be a great guy and his vindictive ex wife is trying to badword him.

    3. As you said his image is crafted, he could be a whole diffrent person when there is no camera and he is with his family and friends etc...
