haha, i'm not a fan at all of carmello. he's a good player but i don't like his attitude. i still remember a maxim interview he had in his rookie season when they asked him if he'd rather be an nba champion or a mvp and he chose mvp. it was either that or scoring champion i'll try to find the mag. anyways it was the wrong answer.

I don't understand all the Melo hate.

If his friend actually did borrow the back-pack and leave the MJ in the bag, what should Melo and his reps have said so y'all would believe him.

And I'm sure his appearance on Punk'd ruined all of his advertising chances.

He's certainly young and reckless at times, and plays that way on the court as well, but there is no need to blast the guy.

Finally, even if it was his, who cares? Obviously, the state doesn't even care that much - petty offense with a $100 fine - I'm sure he's shaking in his boots.

Looks like the dude has passed countless drug tests - he is either smart enough to continually pass drug tests yet too stupid to remember to take his own mar1juana out of his bag, or just possibly, it did belong to his friend.

Small amount? The article said less than an ounce, but an ounce of NBA-quality bud is probably enough to keep ol Carmello stoned all his waking hours for at least a couple of weeks.

Not that I would know...

Never liked that kid anyways. Especially after that debacle about him refusing to come back into a game. Now, this episode on PUNked. The kid has some missing screws.

American PLayers already have this reputation of being RICH & SPOILED BRATS. This doesnt help the cause.

I wonder how high you can really get when you light one up WHILE living in the mile-high city.

He just might be that stupid. Yeah, an ounce is enough to keep him high for a few road trips. I know someone that got caught with just that much and they tried to charge him with intent to sell.

Not to derail the thread, but whether or not you belive the guy or not...

consensual crime in a free democratic republic is stupid and repessive. It's shameful that a buearacracy can act as the parent for adults, and dictate what they can and cannot do with their own bodies.

Maybe that's a different argument in another thread of a seprate forum...

    carry on.

I always thought he looked a little too relaxed on the court.

Consentual for the person doing it, but not consensual for the public that is harmed by seeing it (exceptions mat apply i.e. Jessica Alba).

Does it matter if it's harmful to the public one way or the other ? The real issue is whether you believe pot is harmful to the public health at large, just like drunk drivers.
