Melo comments on Relationship with Lin from Olympic Games

Lin did follow Melo and JR on twitter before but not anymore. Pretty funny that he still kept all the other teammates on his list and just unfollowed those 2 out of all people. Lol.

 

i've listened the flaming melo's interview, and i feel melo didn't say any wrong.
melo said he was happy for Lin as a friend point of view.
melo said the contract, the poison pill, was ridiculous to New York as a business point of view.

 

Melo had the similar saga as Lebron and DH two year ago. He demanded to play in NY or wouldnt sign extension with any other team. Nets spent the most time pursuing Melo and offered max contract but to no avail. The reason being Melo is a native of NY and his wife, LaLa has her business there.

Anyone who was personally close to Lin are no long with the team, except Novak.

The biggest reason Knicks brought in Felton was to run PnR with Amare. This was the #1 option 2 years ago and to revitalize the half dead Amare offense this year.

Before Lin signed the offer, Knicks acquired two PGs. This is how Knicks showed how much confidence they had in retaining Lin. Felton slipped and said he will be the starting PG before Lin signed the offer sheet from Morey.

Melo, without a dount, is a talented player. Why can't he more successful?

Watching how Durant and LeBron worked from morning til night truly gave me the utmost admiration for thos two athletes. They are the ultimate dedicated NBA players and deserve every titles and awards they earn!

so if you are implying that the Knicks wouldn't have kept him on a smaller deal, you are probably wrong.
once they knew of the 3/25 deal, they went looking at other point guards.

Melo went to NYC to be the man, when Lin came in with Linsanity, it became obvious to Melo that however hard they were cheering for Melo was lower than how hard they were cheering for Lin

 

Jeremy Lin hasnt earned a contract like that. Melo knows it which is why he called the contract ridiculous. I wish everyone would just be honest. The knicks couldn't afford him at the end of the day.

There are have been tons of ridiculous contracts in the NBA but players never call each other out on it because of that whole player's union solidarity thing but I guess in Melo's mind Lin doesn't belong in that group. I wonder why....
