I am asking you. You were the one who said that he unfollowed Melo and Jr from twitter. Is that true?

Love Melo for his offense prowess but this guy is a hater. Thank you Melo for giving us Lin. Nice attitude, *******.

He unfollowed JR. Not sure if he was ever following Melo.

Yes. He is still following Amar'e, Tyson, Novak, Shump, Baron and others but not those two.

Not sure he ever followed them, but they aren't on his following list.

    You can check for yourself.

Yes, Lin was following Melo before. I do know when he stopped though.

I don't believe Melo is as villainous as the media paints him, but I take everything he says with a grain of salt. He said he had nothing to do with MDA's departure either, but that is just bs.

Melo's wife LaLa is very ambitious, calling herself the "first lady of NYC" (what a laugh)... they have that reality show too. NY is supposed to love them, not some unknown Asian kid.

It would be human nature to be resentful of Linsanity. I doubt Melo dislikes Jeremy, the player and person, but it's like: when the team loses, it's Melo's fault; when they win, it's because of Jeremy.

Personally, I'm glad Jeremy got away from that rotten organization. Dolan is a vicious idiot and a terrible judge of character -- which is why JR is his latest pet.

JR will get a fat contract next summer when they get his bird rights, and the luxury tax won't matter then. Book it.

i wish they weren't stupid and didn't waste amnesty on Billups. Remove Amar'e, build a deep, smart team with defense around Melo.
He may be flawed, but it's still a shame to see him wasted on that poorly built team. the whole thing reminds of Barkley in many ways.

Chandler didn't benefit from the mandatory 1 year of not going to class at college. He'd be a much better interview if he had that under his belt.

I don't think Melo has any role in Lin not getting resigned. Melo didn't come to NY to be the "man", he came there for the bright lights, hot women and cold cash. They weren't exactly Linning before Lin came in, he was probably thinking Lin could help him Lin games and get the media and rabid fans off his back. IMHO he was ambivalent to the Lin scenario and probably couldn't care less.

I think what did Lin in were two things:

    a) Mike Woodson, who wasn't all that enthused with Lin and sees him as the former coach's pet. New coaches typically hate all of the old coach's leftovers (like when RA ignored allowed JVG's defensive teachings to rot and when Mchale refused to run RA's offensive sets) Lin's PNR style doesn't mesh with Woodson's ISO heavy offense.

    b) Dolan feeling betrayed and slighted with Lin's 2nd contract proposal. I dunno if the Rox pulled a fast one on the Knicks but judging on the sweet deal they gave us for Camby and the harsh words the org had for the Rox afterwards I think NY thought we were doing them a favor right before we stabbed them on the back. If the Rox had offered the 5-5-15M outright I think NY would have matched.

Melo will never fit in no matter what kind of team you build around him, because he has no 3 pt shot, he doesn't defend or hustle, and he has no off the ball skills. If you want to build a champion team with Melo as the centerpiece you need to build an all defense no offense team like what Philly had with AI. With the handcheck rules removed though it takes way more effort to be good defensively nowadays, I'm pretty confident Melo will never win a ring as long as he's the best player on the team.

probably, considering he'll spend his prime next to declining Amar'e.
but remember, he was very close once. a few calls going a different way, and Kobe has 1 less ring while Melo plays that flawed Dwight-Turkoglu team in the finals. And I'd put my money on the Nuggets in that case, they were a much better built, deeper team.

Melo does have off the ball skills, he's an above average passer and rebounder for his position. His defense is piss poor, but then again, the same could be said about a number of great players, like Paul Pierce pre-08 or Barkley.

I agree re Iverson. That's one of the options. Again, the Nuggets team with Billups/Nene/K-Mart/JR/Kleiza was very good. It had more offensive talent than defensive, but it had great size and balance, and it played hard.

I think you probably want someone else to be the vocal emotional leader of the team, rather than Melo.
Which is why i love Tyson Chandler being on the Knicks. Defensively, he's the vocal leader. Now if only they could replace Amar'e with a younger version of Billups.

But in terms of talent and game plan, he could be the central piece of a contender.
I have to say i rooted against those Nuggets teams (tbh, i didn't like a single player there).
But I feel that as basketball fans, we are missing a lot due to the Knicks' mistakes. He's too big a talent to waste his career losing in round 1.

Melo will never be the central piece of any championship winning team. He will be a good third option though.

He has a long enough track record of failure being the primary option.

Jeremy probably got sick of JR's twitter feed with the constant flow of idiotic comments and pictures of women's asses.

Doesn't follow Melo any more either, though -- hmm.

Wow a lot of hating here.... Melo is more than a good third option.... Ridiculous.
