Better attendance now that Ringley Brothers are gone. You get to oooh and aaaahh and "no he didn't" all day with Melo's shot selection and defense.
I think winning equals better attendance. Keep putting an outstanding team on the floor and win games. We'll come.
I disagree. He will definitely increase the level of excitement. Hopefully he will also increase our skill level but the two aren’t correlated, and dude is still more talked about than most players, so even though he isn’t playing as well as he use to and was just bought out it’s still a topic of discussion.
Toyota Center will always look empty as long as those Corporate seats are all the prime seats. Not everyone makes enough to afford Rockets games. However Melo CP3 and Harden will pack other arenas consistently
I really don’t see people saying how they can’t wait to start going to games because we added Melo...I can’t tell u how many people I’ve talked to who are meh about this move or think he’s washed Melo is talked about a lot, but it’s usually not about something good
Same here. Almost everyone has this to say in his defense, " It's for vet min. If he sucks we will drop him." Yeah, that sounds like a player people are lining up to watch and fill the areana for lol...
The fans showed up when it mattered against Golden State. Everything leading up to that was just one long preseason. The regular season has become pretty boring. I'm not surprised people aren't in their seats for tip off.
That was all on Melo and the Rockets. Local and National media have been all over the Melo signing and would LOVE to ask Melo and Morey a bunch of stupid questions that will only piss Melo off. That's why they won't do it. Why? For ESPN to get more trash Melo headlines? **** that.
I tend to agree, but teams who have embraced this idea have not done well. Hope the team is energized. I guess a silver lining of losing 2 rotation players and gaining 1 overhyped one is that it could make the team feel like things are new rather than routine.
as if not having one for this reason is going to solve anything. the questions are coming regardless whether now or later. supposedly not doing it does next to nothing
I''m happy the team isn't going to give ESPN clicks. If they want to talk to Melo they'll have to come to media day and cover the whole team. It's a perfect strategy because Morey and MDA can just deflect garbage questions with the fact that the team is all there and force the media to make use of their time on real stories. Point is if you have a presser before training camp it's all about Melo and if you wait till training camp it can't be. Rockets win again!
