Sounds like they put too much weight into a win that their opponent tanked for them. And it also sounds like another four game sweep in the first round for Denver. Great timing Carmelo!
Pitiful. I'd rather lose by 50 then win and have the supposed leader of my team be arrested for some childish **** like this in the middle of a heated playoff race.
CSI: Denver can have those results back in 24 hours...well in time to suspend him for a playoff game or two. Of course, CSI: Miami can have those results back in 5 minutes.
you guys are tripping. players party. not condoning his actions but to claim he was partying because of winning is crazy. True story, the rockets played the phoenix suns one sunday night in a game that had a seven o clock start here in houston. game was over no earlier than ten. my friends and I go to a club this night, come out at 2:00AM and I swear pig miller and cuttino mobley were hanging out in the parking lot. so they got dressed hopped on plane that left probably about 11:00PM and landed probably about 1:00AM and still made it into time to catch the let out. and they lost that night. they were just young rich dudes wanting to party.
Yeah it's amazing how fast NBA players can hop to the clubs after games. Another Saturday night my friend texted me around 2am that he ran into Steve Blake nursing a beer in the corner of this club in Houston, and talked to the guy to confirm it. Blake wasn't the party type, didn't want any company or nothing, just there to drink a few and go, but I checked the next day and turns out they had a game in Indiana which ended 10:30pm. Don't ask me how they could fly over here, make transits to and from two airports to their hotels, THEN head on out to town in time for the last call, but it happened. Incidentally we played the Blazers a couple of days later and creamed em. I'm all for Rockets opponents partying.
Same here. I loved watching Syracuse Carmelo (even though I was rooting for Texas). I love Team USA Carmelo. Nuggets Carmelo, Carmelo the person, not as much.
I guess walking to his own fridge in his own house and cracking open his own beer in the privacy of his own home was surely out of the question when you consider he didn't want any company or nothing.
i am sure its mentioned before (didnt read all the above posts) but i think its funny that it will take 2 weeks for the results to come out. Just enough time for the nuggets to start their playoff games and also end their playoff run. isnt there a league mandated suspensions on DUIs or felonies? i just dont get it if you are that rich and young hire a guy to be your conscience, heck i'd do it. be the sober one hang out with melo get paid go where he does and if he tries to do some stupid ish like this smack him upside his head. cmon now where was LaLa in all of this?
