I think Pitt is being put down pretty hard here lol. He has been nominated for two Oscars and four Golden Globes. Legends of the Fall, Twelve Monkeys, Fight Club, Benjamin Button, Inglorious Bastards, Assassination of Jesse James, Oceans 11. He's been given critical praise plenty of times. I don't think he's a GREAT actor by any stretch, but he's not a bad one either.

Pitt has done some great work and IMO, he has gotten better. I can't agree with Ethan Hawke though... He plays the same roles in every movie. There's a reason why folks like Denzel, Robert De Niro, and Al Pacino can get away with it. Brendan Fraser had a real shot at being a superstar when he did the first Mummy movie. I think you're right about the publicist thing though. To be a great actor though, you have to appeal to all races. I don't think he had that it factor though.
I can't believe people are trying to say Brad Pitt was crap before the Oceans movies. As already stated, those were his best years. He actually looked like he was putting in work and not just coasting through his movies. He's a good actor all things considered and took advantage of his opportunities.
Things I've learned from Clutchfans: Chase Budinger is an all star in waiting. Brad Pitt can't act. Megan Fox isn't attractive. Bagwell should learn to throw with his left arm.
It's not that she's not attractive, it's just that those tattoos just make her seem... oh, I don't know... dirty... and tainted... like my worst enemy had her before me... and now I'll have that in my mind... ughghghghggggggghhhh... *shudder*

Yeah, I regret "equating" Pitt with Megan Fox. It was less about their relative acting abilities than about the extent to which each of their names became synonyms for physical attractiveness literally overnight. I threw Hawke in the original comment because I remember him getting the same "heat" as Pitt but from younger women, and Fraser because I honestly thought he was going to play Superman at some point.
And pretty much guaranteed to be a freak between the sheets. You have so much to learn grasshopper. Obligatory useless without pics post.
