True, if we had Larry Brown, you'd have exactly the same thing as JVG. Darko never left the bench under Larry Brown. Not exactly what you want to see of your multimillion dollar investment.

I was thinking the exact same thing after the game, after all of Tmac's "its on me" statements, he should follow through that by helping the rockets clear some cap space, but I have no idea how its done.

And yet he managed to win a title without Darko. I'm not high on Brown but all this overrated talk about him in comparison to the next Avery Johnson is really dull and lacking. Mario should have stayed in Golden State and learned a little bit more under Don Nelson. He really missed the boat on that one.

Avery gave a soft middle of the road team an identity. Something one of the winningest coaches of all time couldn't do...

It didnt work this year obviously, but Avery is more of a players coach and seems to get the most out of his players. Elie strikes me as the same type of coach who will command respect from his players but not micro-manage and be inflexible about things.

Actually...you are the bonehead....NBA contracts are guaranteed, unlike some other sports (like the NFL) and thus cannot be renegotiated downward.

Even if the player wanted to...it wouldn't be allowed by the collective bargaining agreement or the NBAPA.

Please name one contract that was renegotiated to free cap space...since 1994.

    Try google....

I want whatever you are smoking....

He took the finals runner up last year and got knocked out in the first round this year.

    Is that the identity?

Ya. He took em to the finals. If Dirk wasnt so beloved and overated maybe they could have traded his weak ass for KG and beat the Warriors in 5.

If the Rocket Power Hour on 610 is any indication, Mario Elie is an idiot who couldn't coach a cat in heat to a Q-Tip on a stand.

Theres not a local hack in the history of Houston that knows anything about anything. Now if you heard Elie talking mumbo jumbo then thats fair game.

Ok, I'll look up the particulars ... sorry I have a life and don't always know every constipated nuance of the NBA C.B.A. It just seems to me, that if Yao and T-Mac wanted to make adjustments to their contract then, they should be able to. If the CBA prevents that then oops on me but, if that is the case.

Didn't Elie get fired from his last Assistant coaching gig? Not exactly a hot commodity.
