Have you seen him 'not dominate' high schoolers?

More that he needs serious coaching in 3 areas
    1. Shot selection
    2. Defensive positoning
    3. When/ when not to pass

But forget splashing a lotto pick, he will be available 2nd round. I wouldn't be surprised if he withdraws his name and goes to college to work on his game...

There was some talk in Australia about him trying to bypass college due to the academic restrictions he would need to achieve....

Except he was never going to be the next Durant, which is why he fell on the draft even before his injury concerns were discovered.

So you wouldn't take him at #14? No way i'd pay at 14. I know he's a project, but whatever player we draft most likely will spend the next few years in the dleague anyway so why not a high potential project?

Interesting that because he plays in Canada he can declare for draft out of hs. I think he can be something special. Id draft him.

That is the dilemma. If we had the #12 pick through a trade verses getting the #12 through a disappointing season. Right now I'd probably want to take someone like Timothe Luwawu over Thon Maker, but who knows after the NBA combine.

Where is he expected to go? Late teens? Late first? Early 2nd? Late 2nd? Undrafted?

19 or 20 I believe since he took a 5th year in HS in Canada.

Thon has snuck up into the end of the 1st round now in some mocks.

Wait until he participates in 5 on 5 drills. That's really the question mark hanging over his head. I won't be surprised if he keeps rising.
I believe he has the highest ever vertical for a guy 6'11 or over in combine history?

Similar things were said about Greek Freak when he came out.

He is a secret target. We're trying to sneak into the first round to nab him.
