A little off topic, but I went to the autograph session Case was at a couple weeks ago. They closed off the doors behind me and a few others so we figured we would get an autograph. Made it all the way up to the room he was in, then he got up and left. He had arrived late as well, so many were thinking he'd stay longer. Not harping on Case because he may have had a legitimate reason for leaving so suddenly, but if the player is paid for an hour, shouldn't they stay for an entire hour?
I hope some fans give him an earful for his comments. I swear if every Texans fan there just gets starstruck and fails to call him out then Texans fans suck. You don't have to go to his house, but please stop putting these players on a pedestal.
Do you guys think that booing the **** out of Schaub made the 10 other guys on the field play better, or hell, even harder? No, it's a distraction and a total demoralizer to a bunch of guys fighting to win/keep jobs and to win a game. If you wanted to send a message to ownership that's one thing, but the players don't give a **** about that at the time. Don't blame Tate for what he said at all, Andre either.
not much different than what most of the other players are saying about our fans.. and that includes Andre. hate to break it to you but it seems like most of our players feel that way about our fan base
I'm sure 90% of Texans fans couldn't care less what a player thinks just how they help the team win. Comes with being a millionaire athlete.
And that spares him from criticism? If Tate just shut up, he wouldn't be in the spotlight. Andre gets slack because he's put YEARS, his entire career (wasted) on this franchise. Tate has only been year for a small part of that. Also... this is Tate's contract year. He could care less about this team, this franchise, and its fans. He's just here to earn his next paycheck and then bounce. In short. Johnson has earned respect. Tate has not. Kind of like the mixed criticism after Ed Reed put his comments in. He was right, but he hasn't been here long enough to say things like that.
