We don't need to prove to the media. They are all garbage anyways. The Rockets team need to prove to themselves and their fans. If we keep winning, respect will be earned. It's not like we never led by 2:0 before. Stay humble and stay hungry, forget about the media, get the job done.
There are a ton of more interesting games out there. The national media won't pay attention to the Rockets unless they beat the Lakers. If the Rockets can take out the Lakers then we will be national media. Honestly, do any of you think that we are newsworthy when the media expects a Lakers vs. Cavaliers match-up?
you do realize Magic is a minority owner of the lakers right? i think it may be 1-2% but still minority owner. which i think should prevent him from being a regular "analyst" on any program. A guest analyst thats fine, but its a conflict of interest when he is a regular guy

If it makes you feel any better I was listening to Espn radion today and the guy said that Houston probably has the best chance against the Lakers out of any team in the west.

The National media will NEVER focus on the Rockets this postseason. Beat the Blazers: Lakers will crush us. Beat the Lakers: Coverage of western conference stops and it's all Lebron all the time. Beat whoever we face in the WCF: Lebron(or DH or Boston) is going to crush us. Win the finals: Same treatment as winning our first championship. Bitterness at a lame winner.
It's always going to be like this. We don't have anybody that they can build attention on at the moment. Yao, while he may be the most talented Centers in the game, doesn't have the persona of a Superstar. Tracy McGrady used to be that guy for us... but obviously, he can't be that guy this season.
She is pretty low on the ladder but she knows what she is talking about when it comes to the rockets (Probably because She is our designated commentator on espn).. she even gave a shout out to Chuck Hates lol.. I only watched the ESPN telecast because i was hoping Doris isnt there and a commentator who doesn't watch the rockets is surprised and caught of guard Doris Burke, Wilbon and JVG are the only on air personalities that give us love.. I like it that way.. We all know what happens when our achievements are nationally known.. we fail epically soon after.. so lets continue to hide under the radar its fun. for me anyway
