I wholeheartedly agree. Although, I don't exactly see what we can do about it with Twitter and Facebook dominating the attentions of so many people these days. The former baits people of like minds into click bait articles, the latter reels them into the dreaded echo chambers that divide us. There's often a bit of truth to both sides if you look into it.

But it's difficult for the population to assume relative objectivity when we can't agree on who or what is going to consistently tell us the truth. I can only deal with long form journalism now, which is time consuming but ultimately informative. Ironically, doing that makes miss out on the "news" of why everyone is so angry all the time. I too, get suspicious when all I can do is read headlines as my personal life dares to intrude.

I try to speak up when the issue seems to be particularly egregious to my value system. It's important that you do the same.

    Pewdiepie still sucks though. :)

The media lost significant credibility after the election. People need to get out of their echo chamber, listen to both sides, think for themselves and form their own opinions.

You're being deliberately obtuse if you don't think the neo-Nazi movement has gained steam this past year. I'm not reducing it. It's purely fact, and that's all I stated. Yes, the media is massive and not all of them latched onto this generated outrage. If you're asking me to specifically list which outlets are responsible, you can do the research yourself. It's already obvious enough.

PewDiePie was unaware of how people can easily twist his actions and create an agenda, which happens way too often in this social media justice age. You could make a video using excerpts of a comedian's bit on YouTube to paint them as a racist. Do you agree with that?

It's simple. Who gives a **** if there was "fake news" about it, did Pewdiepie say those things? Is Disney one of his partners? The answer is yes to both so it doesn't matter if there was "fake news"...

The ESPN announcer used a poor choice of words when describing Venus Williams during the Australian going in 'guerilla' mode. There was some backlash, he was dismissed and now he is suing for wrongful termination. This is not uncommon before, during or after Trump. This is also real news. It really happened. There was no fake reporting on it.

The media and the left wingers disrespecting the presidency should be ashamed of themselves. Putting Americans first is a bad thing I guess if you are not an American. How about giving the guy a chance and stop with the immature finger pointing. Remember your other choice was Hillary FREAKIN Clinton!

On the contrary, I agree with you. Even people like PewDiePie are flirting with the neo-Nazi movement. There's nothing "hot button" about anti-Semitism though.

So you are too lazy to take issue with anything specific, just "the media." I don't need to do research to support your claims. You do.

I don't care whether PewDiePie is an idiot or not. The freedom to make jokes about ethnicities, races, etc is not important compared to the risks of propagating anti-Semitic material. This is not the death of comedy or free speech.

I haven't seen much disrespect for the Presidency. I have seen them correcting and calling out lies told by the President. That is their job.

Too bad he didn't say that. Unfortunately for him, "Jews" kept popping into his head.

Eh, Disney still would have cut him. Disney has no need for bad publicity.

Did you even watch the video? PewDiePie even acknowledges his jokes were poor taste and went too far. It shouldn't be surprising that Disney would disassociate themselves with him. Not like Disney needs him to expand their brand since they're doing pretty well for themselves.
