That wasn't Harden's team, that was Westbrook and Durant's team which undervalued Harden. They lost to Lebron/Wade/Bosh. Which kind of makes my point.

Kobe won 3 as Shaq's sidekick but I still would not count those 3 peats out. I got your point though.

It's really hard for volume scorers like Harden, Durant and others to play with other guys. You heard alot about who defers to whom......sort of stuff.

Imagine Durant being called out every season to not ISO that much and let Steph make plays for him and others.

It cannot be helped, then imagine Harden on a super team. It's really hard because he really needs the ball in his hands most of the time, he can't be moving off the ball so much.

He isn't that kind of player. So his sidekicks should be SF- PF -Centers. Those would be more effective.

    Sorry, CP3.

Actually, I was worried about this before Paul joined, but he seamlessly meshed with one of the most possession hungry PG's ever. I don't think Harden has that problem, because he legitimately deserves to act as the primary PG for any team in the NBA. Durant can't make a case that he should dominate the ball, because he could never dream of averaging 8+ assists per game. Harden and to almost the same extent Curry can make that case. Curry doesn't need the ball more than Paul does, I am certain Harden and Curry could share a backcourt with ease and probably be the most successful team of all time if MDA is coaching.

Yeah, that was CP3 at his best but I am almost certain he is not going to get any better, on the contrary, he will get even more injury prone.

You can't treat CP3 as if he was the New Orleans or Clippers version. Even then he had tons of minor injuries.

Harden has to take care of the ball again, no matter those Turnovers, there is not much choice.

CP3 also took a back seat this season, last season he kind of played like he was an equal to JH. Now he is far from that.

It was a special game, and one of the best regular season games period, and one of the most amazing offensive performances we've seen in a game ever. The only blame people find with Harden is how his game 'doesnt translate' come playoff time and that he hasnt been to a finals yet.

However, last years series vs. GSW was basically the NBA Finals and went seven games. The Warriors won the finals 4-0, and three of the four games werent even competitive. The one tight contest (game 3) really felt like GSW wasnt interested, and once they decided to start trying after half the game was pretty much done. The Spurs and Pelicans put up a better fight than the Cavaliers - why do we credit Lebron for getting to a finals in a bad conference? This is a Cavs team that *barely* beat the Celtics without Kyrie and ended up needing seven games. I'm not denying that Lebron is better than Harden, but really when have any of us seen Lebron hit an incredible game winning shot against a real opponent while multiple defenders covered him? When the stakes were high and when his team was down (vs. being tied and him winning without the same pressure)? The only game I can think of is when he scored 29 of the last 30 vs. Detroit in the 2007 playoffs. Most of the biggest games he won - including the finals vs. the Spurs and GSW - were won in critical moments by the other guys. Every big moment vs. GSW was a Kyrie shot, not Lebron.

This hypercriticism of Harden after an all-time game is just an excuse to knock a guy who just had one of the best performances that we've ever seen. Harden is a player who possesses none of the physical gifts of a Lebron or KD. Both can bully their way into the middle, Lebron's size and strength make him an impossible guard, and KD can get almost any shot he wants. And yet it was against KD that Harden scored many of the most critical points, and a combination of Klay, Draymond, and Steph that he was defended on other possessions.

Folks like Kellerman and others just need to give it a rest and just accept what they saw and appreciate it for what it is. I actually thought one of the better post-game analysis was done by The Ringer as part of a podcast. Really smart conversation about Harden and the game itself.

it was just one game of the regular season... in the end we're still going to be outmatched in a playoff series, especially when Cousins returns.

    CP3 + Gordon > Cousins

Plus DMC is a turnover machine and GS already have a turnover problem.
